Yale Eleven Wins Season Opener

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Patrick Witt (Wylie, Texas) threw three TD passes and ran for another as the Yale football team opened the 2011 season with a 37-27 win over Georgetown at Yale Bowl and the Class of 1954 Field.
Witt threw for 280 yards while completing 23 of 31 passes as the Bulldogs broke open a one-point (21-20) halftime lead with 16 straight points including a 10-yard pass to WR Chris Smith (Midlothian, Va.) and a four-yard run by Yale’s senior QB.
