Owls Close Year Ranked No. 1 In NCBWA Regional Poll

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – After a season that included a school record 45 victories and a trip to the national semifinals, the Southern Connecticut State University baseball team finished the year ranked No. 1 in the final National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association East Region poll.

The Owls won the Northeast-10 Conference regular season title for the second year in a row and made their second trip in program history to the College World Series. Along the way, they knocked off No. 1 nationally ranked Grand Valley State and No. 11 nationally ranked Sonoma State to reach the national semifinals. Southern Connecticut finished the season with an overall mark of 45-9-1.
